Dr. Tim Mims, Transitional Pastor
Timothy W. Mims, Ph.D. serves as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies and Director of Ministry Internships at Blue Mountain College. He and his wife, Amanda, reside in New Albany and have one son, Zachary.
Mark Mathis, Music & Senior Adults
Mark has been on staff at First Baptist Church since June of 2011. He is a native of Alcorn County, MS. He was born in Corinth, MS and is a graduate of Kossuth High School. He received his Bachelor of Music Education from Mississippi College, Clinton, MS and his Master of Arts in Christian Education with an emphasis in Music and Worship from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, Memphis, TN. He is married to Misty Satterwhite Mathis from Tremont, MS. They are the parents of three children, Conner, Chandler, and Marlee.
Chris Moore, Student Pastor
Chris Moore has been on staff as the Student Pastor since April of 2016. He was born and raised in Ponchatoula, LA. He has served in youth ministry in Louisiana and Tennessee. Chris received his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from Leavell College at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Arts in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Paige Pittman Moore from Hammond, LA. They have two children: Anna Grace and Beaux Christopher.
Cole Owen, Student Ministry Intern
Cole is a native of New Albany and grew up in the Student Ministry at FBC. He is a Biblical Studies major at Blue Mountain College. He plans to continue his education at Southeastern Seminary and concentrate on Student Ministry. Cole is a member of the BMC Band and in the Ministerial Association. He is also the drummer for our FBC Worship Orchestra.
Diane Stone, Secretary/Ministry Assistant
Diane has served First Baptist Church since July of 1998. She is married to Sammy Stone and they have two children, a son Draper Stone who lives in Oxford, a daughter Blaire Jarvis (Brandon) of New Albany and children Evan and Janie Reinike, and Chance, Chloe and Zoey Jarvis.
Melissa Dunnam, Financial
Melissa is married to Bryan Dunnam and they have two children, Kelsey and Lilli along with two grandchildren, Harper and Rivers. Melissa and Bryan attend Center Baptist Church where she is involved in the music ministry, directing special productions with the choir.
Marsha Roberts, Preschool Director
Marsha was born in Baldwyn, MS and raised in the Alpine community in Union County. She is married to Rickey Roberts and they are both graduates of East Union High School. They have one daughter, Hayley and husband TJ Roberson; one son, Jud; and three grand daughters, Hattie, Darby, and Della Roberson. Marsha received her AA in business from Northeast Mississippi Community College and her childcare director’s certificate from the state of MS Department of Children’s Services. Marsha has been on staff at FBC since September of 2011.
